During the night attack on Ukraine on the night of September 6, the Russian invaders changed the missile launch area. Earlier it was the Caspian Sea, now it is west of Engels (a city in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation). X-101, X-555, X-55 missiles are launched from there.
The details of the night missile and drone attack were provided by Spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yuriy Ignat, during a telethon.
According to him, closer to the morning, strategic aircraft attacked Ukraine. Most of the missiles were intercepted in central Ukraine. Additionally, a ballistic missile was intercepted. Ukrainian forces reported that the enemy had used one "Iskander" missile.
"It's quite natural, if I may put it that way, an attack by the occupiers. It's a night attack: "Shahed” drones are launched just before the onset of the next day, starting from 23:00. They follow different routes," Ignat reported.
According to the spokesperson, Russian forces are currently primarily attacking the southern regions of the Odesa region, causing damage to the port infrastructure and other civilian objects. Specifically, during the night, Russia launched 25 drones from the southern and southeastern directions, heading towards the Odesa region.
