Military expert Pavlo Narozhny believes that the change in weather will affect the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He noted that active actions may end in November.

He stated this during a telethon broadcast on September 5.

Pavlo Narozhny pointed out that the leaves soon will fall, making combat operations more challenging for both the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian occupiers. He mentioned that the active phase of the counteroffensive may conclude within November.

"There is a risk called “greenery''. That is, the leaves will fall from the trees and in the same Kupiansk-Lyman direction, one of the factors of successful deterrence is the presence of forests. It's relatively easy to hide and camouflage there. When all the leaves fall, everything will become much more difficult because the trees will stand bare, and everything will be much more visible to both us and the enemy," he said.

Narozhny also added that one should not forget about the cold and frost that will come in the autumn.

"Moreover, we should not forget about factors like frost, cold, and so on... I believe that this deadline is mid-November when there will no longer be an opportunity for us to conduct active offensive actions," the military expert said.
