What missiles can help Ukraine speed up the end of the war: A Colonel answered

Military analyst, Colonel Petro Chernyk, told which missiles could change the course of the war between Russia and Ukraine. He emphasized that modern American weaponry could assist the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

He said this in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua.

The expert explained that the F-16 is equipped with the AGM-158 JASSM missile, which can hit targets very well.

"What missiles would truly change the course of the war? There are two categories. The F-16 comes equipped with the AGM-158 JASSM missile, which is an excellent missile. It's not just “air-to-surface”; it can hit surface targets and moving targets as well. There's also a vast number of glide bombs, such as the AGM-154, which can search for its target within a range of 28 kilometers. It's a very high-quality and reliable bomb. Over 5,000 of these AGM-158 missiles were produced in America. Five or six hundred, and preferably a thousand such missiles can really significantly speed up the course of this war," he said.

Petro Chernyk added that ATACMS missiles would help the Ukrainian Armed Forces, we need up to a thousand of them.

"The same applies to ATACMS – a ballistic missile used with M142 HIMARS and with M270. There are over 4,000 ATACMS missiles in storage. One thousand, or one and a half, or two thousand of these missiles could actually break the course of this war," the Сolonel explained.
