Ukraine has sent a note to Poland regarding the border blocking: what is Kyiv's position

Ukraine emphasizes that the blocking of the border by Polish carriers will harm the interests of Ukraine and Poland, and in the conditions of Russian aggression and the burden on checkpoints, such actions are extremely irresponsible.

This was stated by Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vasyl Zvarych, in a comment to “Ukrinform.”

"The Embassy sent an official note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland with a request to take measures to prevent blocking or restricting movement across the Ukrainian-Polish border," the Ambassador said.

According to him, the Embassy and the Ukrainian Consulate General are in constant contact with Poland's Ministry of Infrastructure and the voivodes of Subcarpathia and Lublin on this matter.

"We hope that the Polish government will be able to reach an understanding with potential protesters to avoid blocking the border. After all, such threats of protesters to block traffic at checkpoints do not help the image of Poland at all, as well as those Polish entrepreneurs who participate or intend to participate in projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine," Vasyl Zvarych said.
