On the morning of November 22, the Russian army attacked Sumy using "Shahed" drones. These drones were equipped with shrapnel to inflict maximum harm on people.
This was stated by Volodymyr Artyukh, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, during a live broadcast on Suspilne Novyny.
“This weapon is used to destroy personnel, solely targeting people. Not to destroy objects, but to kill as many people as possible. Knowing that this residential area was targeted, the purpose of this strike was to inflict maximum harm on people,” he said.
According to the head of the regional administration, this also applies to strikes on other areas of Sumy, where private houses were destroyed, and people were injured.
“This is a crime against humanity. It is pure genocide,” Artyukh added.
