"With Beijing's support, Russia's war will last longer" – Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that China has made a strategic mistake by supporting Russia. He states that Ukraine rejects alternative "peace summits," including those proposed by China, and believes that with Beijing's support, Russia's war against Ukraine will be prolonged. Zelenskyy also expressed dissatisfaction with China's refusal to participate in the Peace Summit in Switzerland.

Zelenskyy said this during a media interaction at the "Shangri-La Dialogue" conference in Singapore.
"With all due respect to any country, neither China, nor Brazil, nor anyone else fully understands the devastation Russia has brought to our country with this war. I wish peace for all countries, so that no one experiences losses, mass graves and victims. But it is Ukrainians who were killed, and the Russians who have raped our people, our women, and kidnapped tens of thousands of our children. No one has the right to tell us how this war should end," Zelenskyy stated.
According to Zelenskyy, with China's support, Russia's war against Ukraine will last longer, and Beijing has made a strategic error by backing the aggressor.
"You cannot claim to support Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty while simultaneously supporting the country that violates all the principles and foundations of the UN Charter," the President said.
"It is possible not to help Ukraine and the civilized world end the war. But, in my opinion, to sabotage a Peace Summit, to take steps to reduce the level of leader participation, to do everything to ensure some leaders do not attend the Peace Summit, to pressure them – this certainly does not bring peace closer. And it is not just support for Russia, it is actually support for the war," Zelenskyy concluded.
