The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has to fulfill four more requirements on the path to Eurointegration. This should be done by spring 2024.

This was said by the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Olena Kondratyuk, “Ukrinform” writes.

The politician emphasizes that the Ukrainian parliament has the following tasks:

1. Adopt changes to the Law "On national minorities (communities) of Ukraine."

2. Support changes to the Law "On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine."

3. Strengthen the independence of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

4. Increase the staff of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

It's crucial for our country to fulfill its obligations by next spring. This will allow us to remove all obstacles for negotiations regarding Ukraine's accession to the EU.

"The Verkhovna Rada will do this," assures Kondratyuk.

She believes that the political decision on starting negotiations for Ukraine's accession to the European Union will be made because most EU member states are oriented towards the European Commission. As known, there are difficulties only with Hungary, which requires changes to the Law "On National Minorities", particularly regarding language and education.

"We have to talk about it and solve it. Now the Verkhovna Rada committee on human rights is dealing with it, as well as the first vice-speaker of the parliament Oleksandr Kornienko," the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada concluded.
