This year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should have enough resources for local and tactical offensives. As for major offensives, we need to concentrate more forces.
This was stated by Oleksandr Musienko, Head of the Center for Military and Legal Studies and a political expert, on the air of the telethon.
"We need both personnel and resources", he said.
Several factors affect war
According to Musienko, the most important factor is the situation on the battlefield. But there is still an internal situation in the Russian Federation, strikes on their rear areas. And destabilization of the enemy is of great importance.
"If we succeed in uniting the component - repelling enemy attacks, continuing deep strikes on Russia's territory and reducing their capabilities there. By opening up space for even more significant attacks and destabilizing Russia from within, it will create the necessary background for transitioning to counterattacks. However, for a major counteroffensive, we need strength and a concentrated strike", - Musienko explains.
According to the expert, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to strike Russian oil refineries. And we can explain to international partners why this is necessary. At the same time, Musienko admits, over time, Russia will find air defense means to cover the refineries.
"And how will they cover them? They'll pull them from somewhere else. Then strikes will target other objects because Russia has many different facilities, and there's not enough air defense for everything. So they're forced to choose," Musienko noted.
Thus, in the case of covering the refineries, the aggressor state will open other military facilities, such as warehouses or airfields.
