A Russian general, also known as the "Butcher of Aleppo", who has been attacking Syria for months, is using the same methods to destroy Ukraine

Tens of thousands of civilians cannot leave the bombed-out city, left without water, food and electricity, TSN reports.
Similarly, in Aleppo, Syria, 5 years ago, Russian bombs were dropped on hospitals, schools, markets, and on the lines of civilians standing to buy bread. The buildings were destroyed by artillery and continuous carpet bombings. Before the war, Aleppo was the second largest city in Syria, with almost two million population. Between 20,000 and 30,000 people have died in the battles for Aleppo, and hundreds of thousands were forced to leave their homes. The military strategy manner changed and the ruthless destruction of civilians began after Putin started to “restore the order” in Syria on the side of dictator Bashar al-Assad in 2015. ‘What Russia had been doing in Syria is hard to put into words – their intense attacks have destroyed entire areas. At least 12 planes bombed residential areas simultaneously, and when finished, they were replaced by another 12,’ Fadel Abdul Ghany, the head of the Syrian human rights network, claimed. The military operation in Syria was led by Colonel General Alexander Dvornikov. In the beginning of ApriI, it was him that Putin appointed to command the army in the war against Ukraine. He is called one of the most experienced Russian generals and the most brutal against the civilians. Putin has awarded him the title of hero, but the rest of the world know this Kremlin “hero” as the "Butcher of Aleppo". ‘It was his idea to wipe Aleppo off the face of the earth. To use chemical weapons. They didn’t show their Russian flag, when the city was bombed,’ Oleh Zhdanov, the military expert, states. Prior to his appointment, Dvornikov was commanding the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. ‘He is capable of forcing troops forward without sparing. He is very well known for this. Why would you need such a man to force troops without sparing them? This means that the troops began spare themselves and needed someone who does not,’ Arestovych says.
Destroying both Aleppo and Mariupol, the Russian military uses the same methods of warfare:
Siege of cities and continuous misinformation. Aleppo was besieged and systematically captured, street after street, for six months. All this time the city without water and food was chaotically bombed. The same happens in Mariupol.
Attacks on civilian infrastructure. Both in Syria and in Ukraine, Russians aim at the civilian objects. During the 8 months of the siege of Aleppo, hospitals were attacked 16 times. The whole world was shocked by the bombing of the maternity hospital in Mariupol. In Syria, 204 attacks on food markets were recorded. Syrian children were bombed right in the middle of their school classes. Our educational process has been suspended, but schools and universities continue being destroyed by Russian bombs. Thus, 400 people were hiding in an art school in Mariupol, when a bomb was dropped on it.
3 Mass use of prohibited weapons. In Aleppo, Russia attacked with prohibited FAE and cluster bombs. The same manner of action is demonstrated in Ukraine. Chemical weapons have been used in Syria. Its use was also recorded in Mariupol.
Manipulations on humanitarian corridors. This is another ruthless Russian method. The Russians agree on humanitarian corridors, and then start firing on buses with children and women at the last moment. We see it happen both in Aleppo and in Mariupol.
Ukraine asks the world to intervene. Kyiv demands the Russians to agree on an immediate humanitarian corridor from the Mariupol ‘Azovstal’ plant. There are thousand civilians, women and children mostly, and half a hundred wounded soldiers. The marines, defending ‘Azovstal’, have called on world leaders to ensure an urgent extraction, the procedure of taking civilians and military to a safe place on the territory of an external party.
