The North Korean forces operating in Kursk region have a high level of training: physical endurance, strong morale, and excellent combat skills.

This was reported by Sergeant Yuriy Bondar from the medical company of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade.

Commenting on information that North Korean units fighting on the side of Russia are not considered a significant threat, Bondar described their level of training.

According to the soldier, North Korean forces on the Kursk front demonstrate extraordinary physical endurance, high morale, and excellent combat skills. North Korean soldiers are highly proficient with firearms and develop unconventional tactics, which pose significant challenges to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"While carrying out offensive actions in small groups, (the enemy – ed.) completely disregards their wounded and killed, simply stepping over those who "left the chat" and continuing their mission," the sergeant wrote.

He emphasizes that North Korean soldiers do not surrender. They eliminate themselves in a similar manner: "a grenade near the head and that's it." The bodies of those left on the battlefield are doused with flammable liquid and burned, with particular attention paid to the face.

According to Bondar, North Korean soldiers possess an exceptionally high level of proficiency with firearms. He was particularly amazed by the number of Ukrainian drones shot down by the enemy with basic firearms.

"Psychological resilience. Imagine they take down our strike drones with their bare hands. One runs to attract attention, while another, lying in wait, shoots the drone with aimed fire. Just imagine the level of stress resistance," the Ukrainian defender wrote.

He also mentioned that North Korean special forces are "a separate caste of people." They have a much higher level of training than the standard, making them particularly dangerous on the battlefield.

Bondar urged not to underestimate the enemy, as this could have fatal consequences. He also suggested that the approaches to training reserve forces should be reconsidered, and the resilience of Ukrainian units should be improved.

"As one authoritative commander said, the Wagner group of 2022 were just children, compared to North Korean soldiers. And I believe him," the sergeant concluded.
