An expert explained how to defend Odesa from Russian strikes

The presence of air defense systems is an important element for defending Odesa from Russian army aerial strikes. However, this is not sufficient, considering that the enemy is using supersonic missiles.

This was stated by military expert Oleksandr Musienko on the air of the telethon.

"Air defense systems alone are not enough. They are a very important element, very much needed. I hope that our partners will react... Regarding overall capabilities to ensure defense, Ukrainian forces are now approaching certain things that will enable this. I mean, they are striking Russian air defense systems in occupied Crimea," the analyst stated.

According to him, the goal is to clear the way for the missiles such as “ATACMS”, “Storm Shadow”, drones, "Neptunes", and also to destroy the "Bastion" launchers from which "Onyx" missiles are launched. Musienko believes that warehouses containing ammunition and missiles that could potentially be used for shelling should be sought out and destroyed.

The expert is convinced that it is currently important and necessary to strike military targets of Russia on the territory of annexed Crimea. After all, the occupiers launch many missiles from there. In particular, "Bastions" must be destroyed.

Musienko emphasizes that Russia has decided to terrorize Odesa with missile strikes because it cannot occupy the city. Moscow has long "dreamed and planned to occupy Odesa".

"The plans of the Russian military leadership, which were announced two years ago, to create a land corridor from the occupied south of Ukraine to the unrecognized Transnistria, have not disappeared. Russia simply cannot implement them because they lack the forces and the means. Therefore they inflict intense blows according to the logic - "if we cannot occupy, then we will destroy", Musienko said.

In addition, the occupiers strike to create the appropriate "background" for demoralization, to sow panic.
