Combat in Pokrovsk: Areas held by Ukrainian forces

Ukrainian forces are holding designated lines in the northern part of Pokrovsk and also control positions south of the railway.

This information was reported by soldiers of the 7th Air Assault Corps.

The military stresses that these Ukrainian positions are crucial for further de-occupation efforts. Meanwhile, Russian forces are trying to cross the railway to expand their occupied area of the city. All such attempts are being blocked by the city’s defenders.

“Enemy forces in Pokrovsk are taking heavy attrition, forcing them to replace personnel losses. Russian command has already sent in the operational reserve from the "Center" Military District — including units of the 76th Air Assault Division — into our sector,” the 7th Air Assault Corps stated.

One of the key tasks of the Defense Forces in this sector of the front remains completely blocking Russian army supply routes to the city, including through the use of tactical and army aviation.

Military sources report that Russian infantry is being cleared from the northern outskirts of Myrnohrad, with extra resources deployed to track and eliminate enemy movements spotted in the southern part of the city.

Meanwhile, a few Russian units tried to slip into Hryshyne, northwest of Pokrovsk, but Ukrainian forces identified and neutralized them before they could advance.
