A special commission is studying the scale of the destruction of a high-rise building that was hit by the enemy Shahed-136/131 drone. It is already known that more than 20 cars were damaged during the night drone attacks in the Shevchenkivskyi and Svyatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv.
This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Kyiv, Volodymyr Bondarenko, during a telethon.
Since May 8, a special commission has been working in the Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv.
"According to preliminary data, the supporting structures are not damaged, but I say once again that these are only preliminary data. Accordingly, after receiving the expert's opinion, we will proceed to repair work. This concerns the house directly in the Svyatoshynskyi district," Bondarenko said.
He added that in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital, only windows in the building were damaged.
"The situation with the building in the Shevchenkivskyi district is simpler, as only window structures were damaged. Therefore, housing and utilities organizations, together with the city services, are already carrying out urgent repair work on window structures, and then we will talk about replacing the windows directly," Bondarenko said.
He stated about more than 20 cars that were damaged both in Shevchenkivskyi and Svyatoshynskyi districts, and also reminded that there is still no compensation mechanism for damaged movable property. At the same time, he gave recommendations to the people of Kyiv in this regard.
"We recommend all residents of Kyiv whose property was damaged as a result of the Russia's attacks on Ukraine to still document this information, because after our victory, of course, the issue of contributions will be resolved in the established order. Including, there should be compensation for movable property ", Bondarenko explained.
According to the Kyiv City Council, since the beginning of the full-scale war started by Russia, about a hundred buildings have been damaged in the capital, including apartment buildings and private houses, educational and cultural institutions. First of all, damaged residential buildings are being repaired and restored in the capital.
"As of today, as Vitali Klitschko said, damages to the city of Kyiv have amounted to over 1 billion dollars. (...) Regarding multi-storey buildings, we are talking about 12 that have been practically restored as of today," Bondarenko emphasized.
