Despite sanctions, Russia continues to use Western components for the weapons that kill Ukrainians: the numbers are staggering

The Russians use Western machine tools with numerical control systems in manufacturing. The total amount for machine tools and their parts for 2023 amounted to $355 million.

This was reported by Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak.

"Western machine tools with numerical control systems are used by the Russians in manufacturing. This also concerns the software for their operation. And overall, all this is about the weapons that kill us. These are the companies whose components were spotted in military production.$231.6 million is for the machines themselves, and $123.3 million - for their parts," the Head of the Office of the President wrote.

He emphasizes that Russia will not be able to manufacture weapons and wage war without machine tools.
