EU adopts 10th package of Sanctions Against Russia – Borrell
On Saturday, February 25th, the EU adopted the 10th package of sanctions against Russia.
On the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the European Union adopted the 10th package of sanctions, which added 121 individuals and legal entities to the blacklist.
This was announced by the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell.
"The 10th package of sanctions has been adopted: 121 individuals and legal entities have been added to the list, significant new import and export restrictions, and a ban on Russian propaganda media. We remain united in our determination to damage the Russian war machine," Borrell tweeted.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy added that the sanctions list includes those "responsible for the deportation and forced adoption of at least 6,000 Ukrainian children".
"This is a clear violation of international law, in particular the Geneva Convention, as I said yesterday (February 24th - ed.) in the UN Security Council," Borrell added.
