Even if we sign the most powerful agreement, Russia may return in two years - Zelensky
The President emphasized that we are going to build a state capable of defending itself.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that security guarantees are needed, but even if we sign the most powerful agreement, Russia may return in two years.
He said this on April 5 during his interview with Ukrainian media.
"There must be an army capable of defending our state. We have a common position with the commander-in-chief and we understand what we are doing. We understand that even if we sign the most powerful agreement, Russia can return in two years. And, if you and I accept it, then we act accordingly. I know that David (ed. - Arahamia) said in the negotiations that we do not believe. Therefore, when we talk about certain things about the defense capabilities of our state, we immediately say that we will build a state that is able to defend itself ... We need security guarantees. There are many details that I do not want to talk about, because they are far away," Zelensky said.
