Expert Listed Main Signs that Putin Has No Intention to End the War

Russian President Vladimir Putin has no intention to end the war against Ukraine. The only thing he needs is the break. This is evidenced by many factors, in particular the Russian defense budget for 2023, as Ivan Stupak, a military expert at the Institute of the Future, said this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

"He wants a break, but has no intention to end the war. The most important sign that demonstrates that Putin neither wants, nor plans to end this war is the military budget of the Russian Federation for 2023. I mean 30% of the whole Russian budget will be spent for national defense and the security forces, i.e. on the war. Does show a desire for peace or truce? No, he is entirely focused on the war”, the expert explained.

The military expert also noted that propaganda constantly adapted to the goals of the Kremlin, so now they are trying to put pressure on the sense of shame of Russians - as if who does not defend the motherland is not worthy to be a Russian. Under the threat of reprisals, Russians are also afraid to speak out openly against the war.

"There is criminal prosecution for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, there is retaliation, when they may put you in jail for retweeting and for reposting an anti-war post. So it's easier for the people to say, yes, I support it completely. Still, in reality, they are trying to take an ostrich-like stance so as not to raise such questions anymore. That is, they try to be in the trend, while at the same time not many of them do not accept the very concept of this war. That is why Putin and his entourage has drawn the wrong conclusions on the basis of incorrect information," Ivan Stupak summarzied.
