Expert names Russia’s main offensive direction for the summer: which cities are under threat
Russian forces have managed to reach the Bakhmut–Pokrovsk highway, which leads toward Kostiantynivka.
The Russian army continues to advance in the area of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region, aiming to further threaten Kostiantynivka.
This was reported by military analyst Denys Popovych on Radio NV.
«Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Kostiantynivka — this triangle has already become a focal point in recent weeks. This will be the main direction of the Russian military offensive in the summer. Armored vehicles and trained Russian drone units are being moved there. When such a concentration occurs, it’s a direct indication that the enemy will attack heavily in that direction,» Popovych stated.
According to him, the Russian occupiers are currently advancing from the direction of Toretsk. The invaders have reached the Bakhmut–Pokrovsk road, which also turns toward Kostiantynivka.
The military expert called this a «worrying development» because Russian troops could next «advance and take logistical routes under fire control.»
«The enemy is advancing there — tactical gains. But this is a cumulative situation. They move forward another kilometer, then another, and a threat to the city emerges. Let’s not forget Pokrovsk — the situation is alarming there too. If the enemy breaks through to that road, they could also turn toward Pokrovsk,» the expert says.
