Ukraine is discussing the possibility of deploying a European peacekeeping contingent on its territory, but emphasizes the need for a broader security guarantee system to ensure complete stability.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw.

He noted that discussions are currently underway with the French side about deploying a peacekeeping contingent, but clarified that they are still at the stage of discussing "general matters."

"We support the idea that a contingent of certain countries, our allies, and our strategic partners, could become part of security guarantees. But it cannot be the only security guarantee. It will not be enough," the President explained.

For Ukraine, the most important thing is not only having a contingent but also a clear and detailed "security map."

"The question is, which contingent, from which countries, what is the quantitative and qualitative composition, and where they will be stationed," he responded.

Zelenskyy also emphasized the importance of including training programs for Ukrainian soldiers in these negotiations.

"There should be professional instructors with serious training programs for our military," the President commented.

However, according to Zelenskyy, this will not be enough if Ukraine does not receive full support from its partners in understanding who it is dealing with on the international stage.

In conclusion, Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is openly discussing all options with its partners to ensure security, but the most important thing is to form a system that will allow Ukraine to remain reliably protected in the future.
