How Gerasimov Will Change the Tactics of Massive Missile Strikes: Explanation by a Military Analyst

After the recent appointment of Valeriy Gerasimov as the commander of the Russian invasion group in Ukraine, the tactics of Russian missile strikes may change, military analyst Oleksiy Hetman said in his interview for FREEDOM.

According to him, the Russians have about 500 long-range high-precision missiles left. Therefore, they are forced to change their tactics.

“The number of missiles they spent on infrastructure strikes failed to destroy Ukrainian energy system. Ukraine is alive. Yes, there are power outages, there are scheduled blackouts, but they have not destroyed the infrastructure, but they have spent a huge amount of money on it, if you calculate the cost of these missiles. Therefore, most likely, Gerasimov will not do this, because they already have an inviolable stockpile of missiles that they should not touch," Hetman says.

However, the expert notes that the Russians have a lot of missiles made from converted S-300 and S-400 systems.

"I think that they may continue to terrorize our civilians in the borderline areas with these missiles," he said.
