General Serhii Naiev outlined three key components needed to stabilize the front.
The former commander of Ukraine’s Joint Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, discussed this in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
What is needed to stabilize the front
According to Naiev, to stabilize the front, the following is needed:
Forces
This refers to Ukrainian servicemen. They must be motivated and well-trained. The training of Ukrainian soldiers is handled by the command of different branches, corps, and specialized forces, which must ensure both their preparedness and motivation.
"During this training, every soldier must be fully ready for combat. It shouldn’t be the case that they are sent straight from a training center to the front lines, where the situation is drastically different from basic military preparation," Naiev explained.
Weaponry
There is currently a problem with supplying Ukrainian troops with sufficient weapons on the front lines.
"Where artillery shells are lacking, support can be provided using drones - FPV drones or other types. Every Ukrainian soldier must have cover," he said.
Command and Control
Naiev emphasized the importance of fighting with stable military structures such as divisions and corps.
"The commander must simultaneously be responsible for both training their personnel and deploying them in combat," the lieutenant general concluded.
