The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the fact that the IAEA had carried out the rotation of its staff at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), doing so through Russian-occupied territories and without Ukraine's approval. Our country has already sent a note of protest to the IAEA, stating that such actions violate Ukraine's territorial integrity.

This is stated in the MFA's statement.

The Ukrainian diplomatic office pointed out that Russia had actually forced IAEA employees to remain at the station for 80 days without rotation. The terrorist state refused to allow IAEA staff to leave the ZNPP via a safe route to Ukrainian territory.

"We consider the actions of the IAEA not as a rotation of experts at the ZNPP, but as a humanitarian evacuation in conditions of threat to the life and health of the Agency’s employees. Ukraine has sent a note of protest to the IAEA leadership, condemning the violation of our state's sovereignty and territorial integrity and warning against any similar actions in the future. The Ukrainian side will also raise the issue of Russia’s unprecedented blackmail at the IAEA Board of Governors meeting in the coming days," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated.
