On the border of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, our soldiers and the TSN crew managed to get to the place, where whole families died.
"Russians say that it's a 'green road', they let people drive a few times, and then they mine the fields and deliberately kill them," - the military said.
There is already a cemetery of cars and people in the open air in the middle of the field on the border of Kherson and Mykolayiv regions. Along this road, the occupiers let cars with refugees to shoot them some time later.
The invaders killed people from a convoy of refugees from Kherson a month ago, but Ukrainian soldiers were able to approach the cars only now, when they drove the occupiers out of these lands.
"People lay there for a long time, we wanted to take them away, but we couldn't, because the enemy wouldn't let us," - the fighters explained.
Two women with children survived. "The news started that teachers could be deported to Crimea for retraining," – says a teacher named Tatiana. This was the last straw for her to doubt whether to go or not.
"I was very scared, I called Tanya and said, that we definitely need to leave. We agreed that we will go together," - says her friend.
Two dozens of cars, passing checkpoints, did not take the main way, because there were traffic jams of several hundred cars. "We drove up, they said you wouldn't come here, it's mined here, there's another road. People go there and you should go, they said. Half of the cars came back, we also didn't go," - the women recall.
The racists sent them to the minefield. Tanya's parents were in the car and she was behind with the children. They slipped halfway until they started firing mortars and machine guns, and then there was an explosion. The explosion on the mine was seen by a friend who was in the car at the head of the convoy.
"When I turned left, I heard a sound, the funnels were rising, I hugged the children, I thought I could protect them, and when I turned back, I heard a very powerful explosion. We managed to get to the village and said, that there were people there," - says Tanya.
When the woman regained consciousness after the explosion, she was lying on the ground with her children, her parents scattered. She lifted her son on his back and together with him and her daughter they crawled to the village, where Ukrainian soldiers rescued them.
This woman and her children miraculously survived, and the parents she was looking for for about a month, died - they stayed near the car. Our soldiers were able to take their bodies only now. Rashists use people as human shields.
"They are starting to cover themselves with the local population, they say that you can leave, pass. In fact, they cover up and kill them, they don't care, that there are children, adults and old people," - the fighters say.
These two women with their children, who managed to survive, are already safe. In a quiet village, women learn to live again. They say, that they can’t stop thinking about Kherson, because they still communicate with people. There, in the occupation, Ukrainians do not lose faith that Ukraine will return.
