Invaders Have Illegally Deported Over 6 Thousand Ukrainian Children

Based on the most recent data, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the enemy has illegally deported 6,032 Ukrainian children either to Russia or to Russia-controlled parts of Ukraine, as Olha Vykhor, the Head of the Ombudsman’s Secretary reported in her interview for Suspilne.

"I have to clarify that some of these children were deported not to Russia, but to enemy-controlled parts of Ukraine.

Essentially, these are Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russian troops and brought to the territory, where neither Ukrainian laws, nor the laws of humanity apply", the said.

According to her, in the afternoon of November 4th, the Secretary Office of the Commissioner of Human Rights has received a report, according to which 12 minors from Oleshky orphanage for children with disabilities were brought to Simferopol District of Crimea for so-called “health improvement”.

The also noted that the Russian government has failed to comply with the terms for children return to mainland Ukraine, and now these children are qualified as deportees. The Ombudsman’s Secretary Office has opened the informational center to document the applications by parents searching for their children. To report any such cases, please call 0-800-50-17-20.
