Invaders Once Again Attacked ZNPP: Total Blackout at the Plant

After another artillery attack by the Russian invasion army, Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is totally cut off from the sources of power supply. The Russian shells hit the plant in the early hours of October 8th, Enerhoatom reports.

"At night, around 00:59, the Russian artillery shell damaged the plant’s facilities resulting in disconnection of the last power transmission line connecting it to the 750 kV ZNPP – Dniprovska power grid", the report reads. The attack resulted in total blackout at Zaporizhzhia NPP. All diesel generators are working in the emergency mode. According to Enerhoatom’s data, available diesel fuel stock will be sufficient to operate emergency generators during 10 days.

"It is essential to commence emergency repair operations and restore connection of ZNPP’s power transmission lines to the grid. Any plans regarding resumption of power generation unit operation under artillery shellfire and with all power transmission lines damaged are unfeasible and unrealistic”, Enerhoatom stressed.
