President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that security guarantees from the "Group of Seven" (G7) would be important and a concrete success for Ukraine.
President Zelenskyy made this statement in Vilnius on July 12 during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
"I would really like today to be a success for all of us, for Ukraine, for our soldiers, for our citizens, for everyone, and in particular, security guarantees are so important for people. Security guarantees for Ukraine on the path to NATO, not instead of, but specifically on the path to integration. And today, these security guarantees can be confirmed by the Group of Seven, and I think if that happens, it will be an important specific success for us. We can acknowledge that the Summit results are good, but if there were an invitation, they would be perfect," stated the Head of State.
