Kharkiv Region Suffers under Fire of Enemy “Defensive” Weapon, Which Turns Invaders into Terrorists

The Russian troops have changed their tactics and are now using S-300 missiles instead of Iskander systems, TSN reports.

The residents of Bashkyrivka in Kharkiv Region have suffered triple shelling by the Russian invaders, who attacked the village last morning, afternoon and night. Shock waves broke thick fir trees as toothpicks. “We immediately rushed to the street. We were to scared, it’s was a nightmare. Everyone was so afraid, people are crying. They want to evacuate to safety, but they have nowhere to go”, the local residents say.

The first level of this building is a kindergarten. “Luckily, there were no children here. Now we don’t where to apply in order to have at least the first level repaired”, the locals say.

The war has taught Kharkiv utility engineers to work as quick as possible. The technicians are working to restore the gas supply system. Now it’s hot outdoors, but the people are scared by uncertainty around the heating season. Many are thinking about upcoming winter, and most are afraid that the municipal bodies won’t be able to dispatch enough repair teams in order to restore all damaged apartment blocks, while the enemy keeps shelling the city. “The radiators may burst. The winter season will be very difficult. If we don’t have fuel to heat our houses, we may as well die right now”, the people complain.

Although a kindergarten doesn’t look like a likely location for military headquarters or ammunition depot, the Russian war criminals steadily input into the flight computers of their high-precision missiles the geolocations of obviously civilian targets. This missile could not kill any military personnel, but easily could kill Ukrainian children.

Kharkiv and Kharkiv Region are ranking top in the sad chart of Russian strikes against educational establishments. The invaders were so “generous” that launched against a school in Bashkyrivka an operational tactical missile, the cost of which is much higher than the cost of the school building as well.

In the nearby Chuhuiv, the death toll of citizens killed in artillery attacks is growing daily. A Ukrainian military serviceman holds an evidence proving that the Russian missile units have turned into simple terrorist groups, right in his hands. “This is a warhead of S-300 missiles, and this is destructive agent”, the soldiers shows.

S-300 is a surface-to-air missile intended to shoot down military aircrafts. However, now the Russian troops actively use these missiles against the surface targets in Kharkiv. “These are very difficult targets for our defence units. They have extremely high velocity and inconsistent flight trajectory”, Oleg, who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, says.

When a missile is fired against a surface target, S-300 ceases to be a high-precision weapon. It has very low accuracy and usually lands nowhere close to the intended target. Then, 150 kilograms of small metal cubes scatter around in the large and crowded city with almost supersonic speed and bring deadly threat for civilians.

Short distance to the Russian city of Belgorod, from where the missiles are launched, do not give Ukrainian air defence units much space to respond and shot down enemy missiles. Following the logic of war, the missiles like S-300 must be destroyed on the ground before they are launched. However, the missiles are launched from the Russian territory, which Ukraine has promised not to attack.
