Kuleba Explained How Recognition of Russia as the State Sponsor of Terrorism May Help Ukraine
Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, explained in detail how recognition of Russia as the state sponsor of terrorism may act as another powerful sanction.
Kuleba shared his insights during his appearance in Ukrainian national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
“It means that Russia will join the honorable club of such countries, as for example North Korea. This would be an important political marker. The second thing is that this status would create significant difficulties for Russia’s capabilities to perform financial transactions, so essentially it would be another powerful sanction against the Russian Federation”, he noted.
Ukrainian side has done its best in order to ensure that this decision will be made.
“The President has repeatedly stressed this point, and I have repeatedly filed the relevant requests. There are all reasonable grounds to pass this decision, therefore we are waiting for the reaction of the U.S. Department of State.
