Russian propaganda actively promotes the idea that the West is fighting Russia "through Ukraine to the last Ukrainian." The demand to lower the mobilization age aligns with this narrative.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated this in an interview with France 24.
“The demand to lower the mobilization age fits perfectly into this Russian narrative,” Kuleba explained.
He also noted that the mobilization age is not a decisive factor in this war. Those who promote this argument attempt to justify their own inaction, implying that "we owe Ukraine nothing because it does not lower the mobilization age."
“But this is a manipulation – it’s obvious to everyone. We need weapons to fight the enemy,” the politician concluded.
