Kuleba urged not to consider the upcoming counteroffensive as a decisive battle in the war
The final will be the battle that will result in the liberation of the entire territory of Ukraine.
The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, said that allies should not consider Ukraine's upcoming counteroffensive as a battle that will decide the fate of the war with Russia.
He stated this during his press conference in Odesa following a meeting with colleagues from Latvia, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
"This counteroffensive should not be considered as a final battle. The final battle will be the one that will result in the liberation of the entire territory of Ukraine. But this conclusion can only be made after the end of the battle, not at the beginning," Kuleba said.
He noted that people who talk about the counteroffensive as a "decisive battle" are distorting the general picture.
"In the end, we will be able to say whether we have succeeded in achieving our goals or whether we need another counteroffensive. We will fight until we liberate our territories. If we need one counteroffensive for this, then it will be one counteroffensive. If we need two or more - there will be two or more," the Minister said.
In addition, Kuleba said that this war cannot be put on pause, because such an option has already been tested between 2014 and 2022.
"Delaying decisions ended with the full-scale invasion of Russia and the attack on the global security order. That's why we will fight to victory," Kuleba said.
