On the night of March 7, Russia struck Ukraine with missiles and "Shahed" drones. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the enemy attack, once again emphasizing the need to stop the aggressor.

He wrote about this on Telegram.

"Last night, the Russian army carried out yet another massive attack on our energy infrastructure. Various facilities in several regions were hit – in Odesa, Poltava, Chernihiv and Ternopil regions. In total, the Russians used nearly 70 missiles – cruise and ballistic – as well as almost two hundred strike drones. All of this was aimed at the infrastructure that ensures normal life," he noted.

The aftermath of the attack

Repair and restoration work is currently underway.

In the President’s view, "the first steps toward establishing real peace must be to force the only source of this war, namely Russia, to stop such attacks against life."

"This can be realistically monitored. Silence in the sky – a ban on the use of missiles, long-range drones, and air bombs. And also silence at sea – a real guarantee of normal shipping. Ukraine is ready to walk the path to peace, and it is Ukraine that has wanted peace from the very first second of this war. The task is to force Russia to stop the war," the President added.
