"Medicine at zero level": a one-year-old child died in occupied Mariupol
In Mariupol, they couldn't admit the child to the hospital.
Mariupol occupied by the Russian Federation
A one-year-old child died in occupied Mariupol due to the lack of equipment and specialized doctors.
This information was reported by the Mariupol City Council. As the child's mother said, her one-year-old girl began to turn pale, after which she was taken to the local hospital.
"It was necessary to do a computed tomography scan, but the medical facility simply didn't have the equipment. Therefore, the doctors gave an injection without even telling the parents which one. After that they said that the child should be taken to Donetsk, because "there is no children's hospital in the city and there is nowhere to admit the child ", the message says.
However, the child died in the evening of the same day. As stated by the city council, the situation in occupied Mariupol is catastrophic. There is a severe shortage of doctors and medicines.
"There is no modern equipment in the hospitals, because it was either destroyed by the Russians or taken away. People cannot get not only normal medical care, but also vital medicines. In particular, the people of Mariupol reported a lack of insulin," the Mariupol City Council said.
