Following the morning missile attack by Russia, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged partners to allow Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes on military targets within Russian territory and to agree on the use of air defense systems to intercept missiles and drones.
Kuleba wrote about this on the social network X.
He noted that Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack primarily targeting critical civilian infrastructure and the energy system, resulting in civilian casualties and injuries, as well as damage to energy facilities.
"Russian attacks are unjustifiable. The international community must condemn them decisively and respond with real actions. There are two specific steps our partners can take to help us end Russian terror more quickly. First, grant permission for Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes on all legitimate military targets within Russian territory. Second, agree on the use of partner air defense capabilities to shoot down missiles and drones near their airspace," Kuleba emphasized.
He stressed that neither of these measures is escalatory. On the contrary, they will deter Russia, reduce terror and the number of Russian attacks, as well as their casualties.
