Recently, American businessman Elon Musk posted on X, claiming that USAID allegedly paid celebrities to visit Ukraine to boost Zelenskyy’s popularity. The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) responded to this false statement, emphasizing that it harms U.S. interests.
This was reported by Head of the NSDC’s Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko.
"The worst part is that the Russians are trying to use X against U.S. interests. It’s as if Tomahawks were hitting America instead of its enemies. And the Russians must be punished for this," he wrote.
Kovalenko has previously noted that the Russians are extensively using X to spread propaganda.
