Nuclear Threats allow Russians to Maintain Confidence in Victory – sociologist

Moscow's threats with nuclear weapons are aimed at Western leaders and Russian citizens, as Dmytro Hromakov, a sociologist and communications expert at the International Center for Countering Russian Propaganda, said on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

"Consumers can be divided into several basic target audiences. First of all, these are the leaders of the Western world who understand the essence of the threat of any nuclear conflict," the expert noted.

Russian citizens perceive the Kremlin's threats to the world as a victory.

"As long as nuclear weapons are not used, the Russians can still afford to console themselves with the idea that they are the lenient party, that is, they treat Ukraine leniently, not including a nuclear component in this conflict. As soon as it becomes clear to everyone that there will be no nuclear war in Ukraine and no use of nuclear weapons under any circumstances, a black hole will open for the Russians to rethink and collapse the entire Russian propaganda machine that convinced them of the invincibility and invincibility of the Russian army," Hromakov said.
