Offensive on Pokrovsk: The goal of the occupiers

Russian occupying forces continue their attempts to take control of Ukrainian Defense Forces positions in the Pokrovsk area. This was reported by Viktor Trehubov, Spokesman for the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops "Khortytsia," on the air of the telethon.

According to Trehubov, the occupiers are trying to create a "sanitary zone" around Pokrovsk by capturing houses in villages on the outskirts of the city.

After that, they try to advance in a clockwise direction to encircle the Ukrainian forces.

However, their offensive has not seen significant success.

"How successful are they (the Russians - Ed.)? I would say, not very much at the moment," Trehubov emphasized.
