Outrageous Scandal in Mariupol: the Red Cross Turns Blind Eyes on Atrocities Committed by the Invaders
The ICRC has access to the Russia-controlled city of Mariupol.
Its representatives distribute food rations in the city, but turn blind eye on other problems of local residents, such as poor access to the healthcare services, as Petro Andriushchenko, the Mayor of Mariupol, reported on August 25th.
"Strange thing happen here. The International Committee of the Red Cross easily gets access to the Mariupol and distributes humanitarian aid in different parts of the city. Still, the ICRC fails to respond either to catastrophic situation with healthcare (maybe we have a wrong idea of what the Red Cross is?) or to deportations of Mariupol children, illegal detention of civilians and filtration procedures. They only feed the people”, he stressed.
According to Andriushchenko, the international organization has lost its credibility.
"Sounds like a perfect business plan: raise million dollars of donations and spend them together with invaders. Mariupol is an illustrative demonstration of deep crisis and collapse of this international institution…”, the Mayor’s Adviser added.
