He stated that the EU's strategy regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war has failed, and Ukraine won't win on the front lines.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, on Hungarian national radio, as reported by "European Pravda".
"Today, everyone knows but doesn't dare to say that this strategy (the EU strategy - "Ukrainians must win, Russians must lose") has failed. All military experts say that Ukraine won't win on the front lines," he stated.
He added that Hungary has always held this position. Orban once again stated, "Ukraine won't win on the front lines, and Russians won't lose on the front lines," so a "Plan B" is necessary.
As is well-known, the Hungarian Prime Minister has been asserting from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the war that Ukraine has no chance of winning. In recent days, Orban has come under criticism from his EU colleagues for his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing. However, Orban stated that he has no plans to apologize for it.
