There is information that Iran has improved its "Shaheds" and now they are supposedly silent. Perhaps such UAVs have already flown into Ukrainian territory. The modernization of technology is a normal process, but noise is not the key aspect.
Air Force Spokesman Yuriy Ignat said this on the air of the telethon.
The main factor is radar visibility. As he emphasized, any type of UAV, whether it's a strike drone or another type, will undergo modernization. Modernization is carried out directly during the war. Drones are tested in combat conditions, where their strengths and weaknesses in real anti-aircraft combat are determined, and improvements will be made based on this information.
"Noise is not the determining factor here. What matters is its radar visibility – whether our radar stations can detect it and relay the information in time for interception. That's why composite materials are used for the fuselage, making it less visible. This complicates the work of air defense," Ignat explained.
But we also receive certain equipment from the West, which allows us to more clearly identify air targets, the Spokesman of the Air Force emphasizes.
