Recently, AFP publication reported that Ukraine had already struck Russia several times using Western weapons. The Office of the President emphasizes that our country strictly adheres to agreements with partners at various levels.

This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, in an interview with 24 Kanal.

Dispelling Illusions

As the advisor stresses, Ukraine has a certain amount of its own long-range weapons: drones and missiles. Both Russia and our partners understand this. These weapons are used as needed, regardless of the location - if it is related to war infrastructure, it must be destroyed.

"Ukraine acts completely legally because this is stipulated in the relevant points of international law. Negotiations about the need to use Western weapons on the fully occupied territory and on the border areas of Russia are ongoing. Why is this important? Because the amount of weapons used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine matters," Podolyak explained.

Our weapons are not sufficient to destroy concentrations along our state borders daily. And this must be done.

"They concentrate forces there. We wait until they (the Russians - 24Kanal) come to kill our people, and after that, we have direct combat. And our people have to stop this. Not high-precision, long-range weapons, but our people. It is nonsense considering the amount of resources Russia has. That's why these negotiations are ongoing," Podolyak concluded.
