Putin May Be Planning "Crazy Things" for February 24th: Expert Talks about Russia's Dangerous "Surprises"
The expert believes that Putin has "absolutely everything at stake," so any "crazy things" should be expected.
Military expert Petro Chernyk believes that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin may prepare "crazy things" for the anniversary of the invasion on February 24th. In particular, the invaders may plan missile strikes against Ukrainian bridges, as he said in his interview with Channel 24.
The expert believes that Russia wants to tear the left bank from the right bank with missile strikes thus blocking the logistics of Western supplies to the battlefield.
"However, the level of our air defense has increased. We shoot down about 90% of their missiles, and they also have serious problems with aiming. This not like wed HIMARS in Kherson Region. Everyone remembers those photos very well - it's just a filigree job. We understand how difficult it is for them in terms of radar guidance, and even more difficult via satellite, because the system is complex, although it cannot be dismissed, because from time to time the Shahids still reach their targets," Chernyk emphasized.
He does not rule out the possibility that the aggressor country could use hypersonic Kinzhal missiles to attack Ukraine, which our air defense cannot shoot down.
"If they could, they would have done it already. However, I do not in any way diminish their madness and realize that they have absolutely everything at stake. They have no way back. At the beginning of the war, one of their generals said a very interesting phrase in their language: it is impossible to win, but we cannot loose" the military expert stressed.
Assessing the threat of an offensive from Belarus, the expert emphasized that for a serious challenge in the north, Russia needed at least 40,000 trained personnel, 825 tanks, 2,500 armored vehicles, and more than 1,000 artillery pieces. However, they only have a lot of infantry. He believes that they can be armed with Mosin rifles and PPShs and thrown "forward, for the Motherland, for Stalin," but this will not turn the tide of the war.
"There may be crazy actions. We can expect anything from them. They can launch several Il-76 airplanes with 200 paratroopers on board into our territory, but it will all be shot down. So far, I have not seen such a sober, reasonable operation that would meet military standards," the military expert noted.
