Risk of Nuclear Disaster: Invaders Want to Deploy Weapon and Explosives Near ZNPP Power Generation Units

The invaders consider the safer option, since they are desperately afraid of Ukrainian missile strikes targeting their warehouse. According to NPP’s Press Office, the Russians are going to use the plant’s powerhouses for storage of tanks, trucks loaded with weapon, ammunitions, at cetera.

"By deploying their “trash”, the invaders will block the access to three power generation units for firefighting and emergency vehicles. In case of fire, it may significantly increase the risk of disaster and create serious difficulties for first responders, since the special emergency vehicles will not be able to access the scene. Therefore, the invaders commit gross violation of the nuclear and radiational safety standards, as well as the safe nuclear power plant operation procedures. They are about to store weapons and explosives directly in the power generation unit powerhouses at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe”, the official message reads.

Enerhoatom urges the international community to take appropriate steps in order to liberate Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant from Russian rule.

"The stake is the safety of not only Ukraine, but the entire world as a whole”, the Press Office emphasized.
