Russia could attack NATO countries within a few years — Intelligence warning

Deputy Head of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence Vadym Skibitskyi, warned that Russia may launch a new phase of military aggression — this time against NATO countries — by 2030.

He made the statement during a roundtable event marking the launch of the analytical center Snake Island Institute, reports NV.

In his speech, Skibitskyi emphasized that Ukraine remains a key partner of the United States outside NATO, especially on defense and security issues. According to him, the threat from Russia goes well beyond the Ukrainian theater of war.

«We must consider the possibility of a new phase of Russian aggression by 2030, this time against NATO countries, ” Skibitskyi said.

He also expressed support for the establishment of the Snake Island Institute — a new analytical center tasked with shaping an updated security architecture between Ukraine, the US, and partners.

Vladyslav Sobolevskyi stated that Ukraine is already actively involved in shaping a new collective security system:

«We understand the importance of strategic partnerships for Ukraine and Western allies. Snake Island Institute is one of the key tools in this process.»
