The situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains tough. At the end of October, Russian forces began assault operations, mobilizing large reserves toward the town of Selydove.
This was stated by Brigade Officer Major Vitaliy Milovidov in an interview with "Ukrainian Radio."
According to him, the invaders have concentrated their main forces and attacks towards the settlement of Vyshneve.
"The number of enemy groups isn’t decreasing. The enemy has prepared significant reserves, deploying them simultaneously from several directions, creating footholds in advance to push further south and north. They are also deploying numerous assault groups, advancing both day and night," the officer told.
Russian forces are shelling with various calibers of artillery, actively using electronic warfare (EW) systems, and attempting to employ armored vehicles. According to Milovidov, his unit, the 15th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, repelled seven assault attempts on their positions yesterday alone.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces are employing large numbers of personnel and frequently using “mass infantry assault tactics.”
"Pokrovsk is strategically important and offers logistical advantages. The enemy is determined to achieve its strategic goals. We must hold the current lines. For now, any discussion about Pokrovsk should be delayed, and maximum efforts should be made to prevent enemy advance. Today, all available forces are being mobilized to ensure this," the serviceman said.
