The Russian military-industrial complex has ramped up the production of new guided aerial bombs UMPB D-30SN, which have a range of up to 90 km, to over 600 units per month. These bombs are being used by the enemy to attack Ukrainian cities such as Kharkiv, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia.
This information was reported by Defense Express, citing serial numbers found on the remnants of these munitions published by a specialized Telegram channel.
Information on the number of guided aerial bombs manufactured in Russia
The publication noted that during the last winter, only 110 units of these munitions were produced in total. In spring, as the enemy began to use them actively, production increased to 161 units per month. By May and June, the Russians reached production levels of around 600 UMPB D-30SN bombs.
Compared to bombs with UMPK kits, these UMPB D-30SN bombs can be dropped from more distant positions or to hit more distant targets, with an approximate range difference of about 30 km.
The publication emphasized that countering aircraft that carry these bombs with hypothetical "wandering Patriots" or conditional F-16s will be significantly more difficult.
