Russia launched a powerful combined missile attack on Kyiv: what is known

Sirens sounded for almost two hours in the capital

On the night of Wednesday, June 12, the Russian occupying army launched a missile strike on Kyiv. The attack on the capital was a combined, with the use of various types of weapons: Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles and drones. All enemy aerial targets were destroyed by air defense forces.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

"These missiles approached Kyiv from the southern direction in several waves. Practically simultaneously with the missiles, the enemy strike UAVs were also moving towards the capital from the same southern direction. During the repulsion of this attack, the enemy, according to preliminary data, also launched ballistic missiles at the capital," the statement reads.

The air raid alert in Kyiv lasted for almost two hours. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or destruction in the capital.

The operational information is being updated and clarified, the Kyiv City Military Administration stated.
