Russia may be preparing a massive missile strike - Humeniuk

The Head of the Joint Press Centre for Operational Command “South”, Natalia Humeniuk, warned Ukrainians about the possibility of a new massive missile attack by the Russian invaders. Also, terrorists from the Russian Federation can launch drones over Ukraine.

She made these statements on May 30 during a telethon broadcast.

Humeniuk explained that the occupants may use sea-based missiles for attacks on Ukraine. She emphasized that Russia has not used them for a long time and could have accumulated resources. Currently, there are 2 submarines and 1 surface missile carrier in the Black Sea. The total salvo of ‘Kalibr’ missiles can reach 16 units.

"Let me remind you that detecting launches from submarines is somewhat more challenging for air defense systems. This may indicate that the enemy is indeed preparing a cunning attack using a mixed variety of different ammunition, as they already have a penchant for it. It's a combination of drone and missile attacks," she explained.

The Spokesperson of the Operational Command “South” added that the occupiers can launch missiles and drones over Ukraine in several waves in order to exhaust and hunt down the air defense systems.
