Russia is actively preparing new propaganda operations against Ukraine in EU countries, particularly focusing on Italy. This was reported by Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as LB.ua writes.

Skibitskyi said that in Italy, Russia was using its collaborators, including journalists from the occupied territories of Ukraine, to spread propaganda materials. These materials include books that allegedly describe crimes committed by Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

He also mentioned that Russia was actively gathering information about Ukraine's military activities in the occupied territories. To spread its propaganda across Europe, Russia is utilizing various media platforms and pro-Russian figures.

"For an entire year, a parliamentary commission of the State Duma of the Russian Federation has been compiling evidence regarding Ukraine's treatment of children. We expect that Russia will present all of this to the international community, primarily to justify its military aggression," Skibitskyi stated.

He also revealed that Russia was working closely with Ukrainian refugees who fled at the beginning of the war. Russia is establishing various societies, organizing educational programs for children and involving churches to make Ukrainians lose their identity and discourage them from returning home. He emphasizws that military intelligence, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is working to thwart these plans, but the efforts of the Ukrainian community in other countries are also crucial.
