The Russian army shelled Lyman in Donetsk region on the evening of July 23, hitting a residential area. Two people were reported killed.
This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"According to the investigation, Russian forces shelled the city of Lyman on July 23, 2024, at 17:20. The strikes hit a residential area, killing two local residents aged 58 and 66. Additionally, two women aged 50 and 74, and a 51-year-old man sustained moderate injuries. According to the preliminarily information the aggressor state's army used the "Iskander" missile system. Furthermore, at 18:00, Russian forces attacked the Novohrodivka community, targeting a highway with an FPV drone.
Three civilians, aged 49 to 68, were injured," the report states.
The National Police also reported that the death toll had risen to three.
