Russia transitions to plan “B”: Podolyak speaks about the new attack in Ukraine

Russia prepared a plan “B” for another attack on Ukraine. The general headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have a clear vision of how to fight back against the invaders, says the advisor to the head of the Office of the president Mykhailo Podolyak.

“The Russians want to transition to plan “B” today. They have finally come up with one, since they had no plans other than their claims that they would take the entirety of Ukraine in 72 hours or five days, and force everyone to their knees and so on and so forth. Today they have regrouped and are concentrating all their remaining forces – and Russia does still have enough resources, since they are not yet that damaged by the sanctions, and it is important that our partners take a firmer approach to this, since every day Russia earns money for the sale of energy resources, and we would want the sanctions to be stronger, so that the Russians run out of money for war against Ukraine. Today they are concentrating in the Donbas and the east of Ukraine, as well as the south and are attempting to conjure up a “Leningrad scenario” there, to score any victories and to “sell” them on their interior market. Today they can only “sell” Bucha and their own cruelty, but they want to add something else”, - said Podolyak.

The advisor to the head of the Office of the president announced that the most military action will happen in the south of Ukraine. Ukraine is now ready for a new attack of the Russian invaders.

“The battles will happen in the south, and our army is ready for this. But this is against the backdrop of our civilian towns and villages, and not everyone has yet evacuated, and therefore there may be much tragedy. Since Ukraine is losing infrastructure and – more importantly – people. But we will not talk about tactical or strategic decisions, since we cannot disclose our plans as to kicking the invader out of Ukraine. But today our country is stronger than it was at the beginning of the war. We are ready in terms of infrastructure. Our partners are helping us. We do not have as many weapons as we would like to quickly get the invaders off our soil, but we do have weapons. The headquarters is carrying out the planning of counter-strikes and responses, and the president is fully in control of the situation. I have an optimistic attitude to where we will be in the coming weeks in terms of the military, the political and the economic situation”, - said Podolyak.

We remind that the advisor to the head of the Office of the president Mykhailo Podolyak spoke about the incredibly difficult situation in the occupied Mariupol.
